Internet tariff increase
In the Republic of Congo, the controversy over the increase in the rates for calls, SMS and Internet by mobile phone operators has not subsided.
According the Post and Electronic Communications Agency, this increase remains within the limits of the law. The agency further explained from a general point of view, that offers have increased by roughly 14.7%. In 2016, the gigabit (GB) was at 10,000 FCFA. It fell the same year to 5000 FCFA. In 2018 , it reached 1000 CFA under promotion.
The increase of tax on electronic communications traffic is included in the 2018 finance law to be collected from consumers.

As Africa’s youth population is set to more than double by 2055, it is imperative for governments to identify and promote alternative pathways to sustainable livelihoods.
Entrepreneurship is therefore a key solution to this most critical challenge facing young people in sub-Saharan Africa. Have a look at the story!
